Ontario Releases New Information Regarding OINP Entrepreneur Pilot!


A new update to the Entrepreneur Pilot was revealed by Ontario today, November 8. Pilot has now been released as the OINP Entrepreneur Success Initiative (OINP-ESI), per the most recent OINP update.

Furthermore, the Toronto Business Development Center (TBDC) is in charge of overseeing this pilot program.


The Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development is supporting the two-year trial program. The project will help 100 immigrant business owners launch and expand their operations beyond the Greater Toronto Area.


The Entrepreneur Success Initiative is intended for entrepreneurs who desire to move to Canada by starting a new firm or buying and developing an existing one outside the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

OINP (Ontario PNP) Entrepreneur Success Initiative Overview

Foreign employees, international students, and other people who meet the necessary criteria in terms of education, experience, and abilities can submit an application for nomination for permanent residence in Ontario through the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).


The OINP’s Entrepreneur Stream is for foreign businesspeople who seek to launch a new venture in Ontario or acquire and grow an already existing one.


Aspiring immigrant entrepreneurs can develop and submit Entrepreneur Stream applications with the assistance of the OINP Entrepreneur Success Initiative (OINP-ESI). The initiative’s goal is to attract and aid 100 new applicants.


Moreover, the Toronto Business Development Centre (TBDC) will oversee the OINP Entrepreneur Success Initiative OINP-ESI for two years.


How may the Toronto Business Development Centre (TBDC) be of assistance?

The TBDC manages the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Entrepreneur Success Initiative and provides specialized assistance to help entrepreneurs find business opportunities in Ontario and apply to the OINP Entrepreneur Stream.
The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development of Ontario is a sponsor of the OINP Entrepreneur Success Initiative. It aims to help immigrant business owners realize their dream of opening a company in Ontario and immigrating to Canada.

Through its Entrepreneur Success Initiative, the TBDC provides the following support to entrepreneurs who meet certain criteria:
> Finding business opportunities in Ontario that fit your interests and capabilities is made easier with your help (for example, opportunities to create a new business or purchase an existing one).

> Assistance with the OINP Entrepreneur Stream application process, including facilitating access to free legal services to help with the procedure.


Concerning the Ontario PNP Entrepreneur Success Initiative


These are the services that the OINP Entrepreneur Success Initiative, or OINP-ESI, will provide:

> Find areas beyond the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) where businesses can be started or expanded

> To raise awareness among entrepreneurs, market the Entrepreneur Stream and business potential internationally.
> Support qualified business owners who want to launch a new company or acquire and expand an existing one in areas outside of the Greater Toronto Area.
> Based on their businesses, interests, and professional expertise, match eligible entrepreneurs with business prospects and communities.
> Help qualified business owners create and submit EOIs of the highest caliber to the Entrepreneur Stream.

Applications will be handled by the OINP in the order that they are received.


Neighborhoods in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
The Entrepreneur Success Initiative is intended for business owners who plan to launch a new venture or purchase an existing one outside of the Greater Toronto Area. The following communities are part of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA):

  • City of Toronto

  • Durham Region

  • Halton Region

  • York Region

  • Peel Region



The OINP Entrepreneur Success Initiative is open to whom?
